The Asthma Society is working overtime to get you the most accurate and up-to-date information as possible on coronavirus
We would like to wish all our members and supporters a happy Saint Patrick’s Day.
The Asthma Society is working overtime to get you the most accurate and up-to-date information as possible on coronavirus. You can check here for advice for people with asthma or COPD.
It is extremely important that we all do everything in our power to avoid contracting and spreading the coronavirus.
The HSE has identified people with a respiratory disease, like asthma or COPD, as being at higher risk of severe symptoms if they get coronavirus.
It is critically important that anyone with a respiratory condition ensures that it is managed as well as possible at this time and that they are closely following HSE advice to self-separate, wash your hands regularly and disinfect surfaces regularly. We are inundated with calls to our office and our free Adviceline service. We are endeavouring to respond as quickly as possible, but there are delays. Please bear with us. We know how worried you are and we want to give you all the advice we can.
However, as today is our national holiday, our team is taking a day of hard-earned rest. We will be back taking calls tomorrow and answering queries.
If you have an appointment already booked for our Asthma and COPD Adviceline, this will still go ahead as planned.
In the meantime, if you have any questions in relations to your asthma or COPD and the coronavirus, click here.
Our Adviceline and social media services will return as usual tomorrow. Lá Fhéile Pádraig shona daoibh!
